Oregon Political Tools

This website is the beginning of a work of resources.

This work may eventually become a complete collection of resources for political districts within Oregon. 

The first step is establishing the sources of data.

Elected officials can easily be found through any search engine search (like Google), and usually in Wikipedia, Ballotpedia, and Project Vote Smart.  Many can also be found on Facebook and Twitter.

Elections history can be found at Oregon Secretary of State Elections Division Elections History.  Precinct abstracts of results are usually available on the County Elections office websites.

Candidate filings and campaign finance (contributions and expenditures) data is available through the ORESTAR system.

Census Demographic data is available from the US Census Bureau Fact Finder.

NPR has posted an interactive map showing foreclosure rates, unemployment rates, and medium houshold income.
